I have read on the boards thats the UFC is planning to do a show in Mexico eventually, so this is probably a good foray into the market for them. It is kinda curious though because they didn’t re-up Paul Buentello’s contract which has led Paul to seek employment elsewhere. That elsewhere happens to be Scott Coker’s Strikeforce promotion which has been based out of San Jose but now is taking to the road and holding a show in Fresno. Paul Buentello will be taking on David Abbott aka Tank Abbott. This should be a very interesting match-up that would probably be a fun match to watch on TV but Strikeforce has yet to make the jump into PPV or cable television.
